German automaker Mercedes-Benz has expanded its S-Class range with four new models, the S 300 BlueTEC HYBRID, the S 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC, the S 600 flagship model and the S 65 AMG.

Mercedes-Benz Expands S-Class Range with Four New Models

With this move, the company expands its S-Class range to 16 versions. The new range features combinations of short and long wheelbases, rear-wheel drive and 4MATIC.

According to the luxury carmaker, all the four vehicles will offer low fuel consumption and reduced CO2 emissions.

The economical S 300 BlueTEC HYBRID offers a reduction of 124-115g/km of CO2; the luxurious S 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC - 168-156g/km; the S 600 264 - 259 g/km; and the S 65 AMG - 279 g/km.

The new models will be available in dealer showrooms beginning March 2014.

Earlier in January 2014, the German automaker announced that it partnered with Clariant and Haltermann to test a new renewable fuel - sunliquid20.
