Scent encapsulation and marketing company Scentisphere has launched the new Rub'nSmell scented varnish.
Rub'nSmell, is available as varnish or coating that allows printer to apply scent as a fifth color or spot coating.
The company claims that the scented areas can be rubbed number of times to release the scent.
Rub'nSmell uses a micro-encapsulation called FOLCOScent created by the Follmann from Minden, Germany that can be dispersed into a overprint varnish or coating systems.
Rub'nSmell scented varnish is available in heat set and sheet fed offset overprint varnish, aqueous coating for offset, flexo and silk screen applications, gravure overprint varnish, and UV and EB overprint varnish.
